We, the Miyako High School English Club, went to Mojiko and Shimonoseki on December 13th.
First, we walked under the Kanmon Strait through a tunnel to get to Shimonoseki.
Then we visited Akama Shrine. We marveled at the grace of the buildings.
Following that, we had a look around the Sino-Japanese Peace Treaty Memorial Hall and took a glimpse at the rich history of Japan.
For lunch, we went to Karato Fish Market. We enjoyed fresh sashimi and pufferfish soup.
For those who don’t like raw fish, there are also a variety of fried seafood.
After that, we bought souvenirs for friends and family.
Finally, we went to the Kyushu Railway Museum and learned the history of Japanese trains.

私たち京都高校英語部は、12月13日に門司港と下関に行ってきました。
まず、関門海峡の海底トンネルを通って下関へ渡りました。
その後、赤間神宮を訪れ、その建物の優美さに感動しました。
続いて、日清講和記念館を見学し、日本の豊かな歴史を垣間見ることができました。
昼食は唐戸市場へ行き、新鮮な刺身やふぐ汁を堪能しました。
生魚が苦手な人向けに、揚げ物など様々なシーフードもありました。
その後、友人や家族へのお土産を買いました。
最後に、九州鉄道記念館へ行き、日本の鉄道の歴史を学びました。 英語部に入れば、このような楽しい旅行やイベントを楽しむことができますよ！（一年生部員より）
